Bass Lake Resort July 2021 Update

Hello fellow Bass Lakers!!!  It is full swing summer, and we are having fun at the resort. June was filled with spring blooms and pleasant weather, and we got a lot of little projects completed. Our landscaper, Kathy Dean, has planted and been talking to all her flowers. There’s color in our flowerpots and garden areas and they look spectacular. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate the team at BLR. The maintenance team has been repairing everything that breaks as quickly as they can, and the grounds team has been doing a superb job of keeping the grass mowed and weed eater. Both pools have been opened and although the deck at the lower pool needs some TLC, the pool water is maintained and is very inviting. The pool Team pulled together and worked hard to get everything opened before Father’s Day.

Our WIFI was also updated in June. 15 more poles and equipment were added and programmed before Father’s Day. The entire resort camping area should have WIFI available now, and it should work. Please continue to follow the notices about how to log in. While we are testing everything, WIFI is free. It will eventually become fee-based depending on the speeds you may need.

The boats were put back into the water this June! They can be checked out from the store during their normal operating hours. We also put all the mini-golf and other “shared” equipment back out. GAGA pit, volleyball, horseshoes, are all back to normal operations. The Store has been re-stocked with lots of new items, and the daily hours are 9 AM-8 PM or 9 AM-9 PM depending on weekday or weekend.

Your Recreation Director, Phyllis Bates, and her team of Kathy, Marissa, and April, were busy in June. We celebrated Earth Day the first weekend of June and planted a new tree at the lower clubhouse, had some fun crafts, and then experienced the hottest week of June between June 1st and 9th. The Senior Prom was a lot of fun, and we thank everyone that came dressed up.  Father’s Day we hosted our annual Father/children fishing derby and then we had a lot of fun on Safari weekend at the end of the month. You can look forward to Party in the USA on July 4th weekend, Disney weekend July 10th, and then we are going to celebrate butterflies and insects.  Phyllis has some special things planned for all ages for that weekend on July 17th.  Our annual Christmas in July will occur the weekend of July 23th and 24th, and we will round out our July summer on July 30 and 31st by celebrating the Arts.

Travel safe and we will see you at the Resort!
