It is winter at Bass Lake. We have had a few flurries of snow, freezing weather, and things are quiet. Marlo and Nikki are sharing the gate duties and answering phones. There is someone on the resort daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Dan and Carl have been busy plowing and completing projects. They replaced the lower clubhouse women’s bathroom door in November, and several other jobs. This week, they completed the ceiling replacement in the laundry room. Those of you that used it last year will remember that the ceiling got water damaged and started to fall. We fixed it enough to get through our busy season. Here’s a before and after picture.
Many of you know Dan Hamilton. Dan has been on the maintenance staff since he was 16 years old and has grown up at the Resort. Please make sure that you say hello and look for him when you come back this spring. Dan is always available to help members and staff with a smile. Dan has been a dependable and responsible staff member, and you can usually find him completing daily maintenance tasks in the summer and working on projects in the winter. During the winter months, most of the Dan’s time is spent plowing and shoveling walkways. As time allows, he works on special projects that we are too busy to carry out during the summer months. Dan and his wife Alicia, have 2 boys and live in the local area. He enjoys his “home life” and is always available for the boys after school games. In addition to spending time with his family, he is an avid hunter.
