Hello, all you happy campers!   Welcome to July camping in Georgia and hot/humid weather.

We’ve been busy at NorthShore taking care of projects and normal daily operations.  We’ve changed a few things at North Shore and if you should have questions, please feel free to come speak with someone on the Team.  We all wear yellow shirts, so we’re easy to find.  You’ll be directed to the correct person to speak with should the person you encounter not have the correct information for you.   You can find all generated activities in the park by looking at CampersApp.  This is an app that you download to your phone and then you can log into the app and review all the upcoming activities that are posted.  It is also an app that we can provide immediate alerts about the park, and list any updated information in real-time.

Another reminder for all our pet owners about leash guidelines.  Please keep your pet on a leash at all times unless they are in the dog park.  We have allowed dogs to run on the beach area when there are no other users, but during the summer months, please be courteous and do not allow your pets to be unleashed on the beach area when others are in attendance.   This is always a tricky question for our pet owners and non-pet owners.   Always pick up after your pets no matter where you are on the campground.   Thank you in advance for following this important guideline.

One thing we want to mention about some of our changes is the removal of the office that was located above the pool down by the boat dock area.  The office was a leased building and we didn’t need the large area for the type of business we’ve been doing for the past several years.  It was removed because we don’t need it any longer.    During the next year, we’ll look at improving this area with some type of recreational activity.  Since I’m new to the NSL environment, I may not have all the information, but I’m happy to meet with you when I’m at North Shore.  I’ll be utilizing our new COFFEE TRAIN for coffee socials, so please look in the schedule on CampersAPP to find out when they might be scheduled.   (this comment was posted by Lizette 😊)

The COFFEE TRAIN is owned and operated by the Chandler Family and is located in the train car at the entrance of the resort.  The history of the Coffee Train business and family is unique and well worth your visit for a fresh cup of coffee.  The coffee is all manufactured by the Chandler Family in a location not far from here.  They specialize in a basic coffee menu from their coffee lines and have a few delectable food items to side with your cup of coffee.

                                   Wed, Thu, and Fri  7 am – 1 pm

                                  Sat and Sun open 9 am – 1 pm

Hello Campers!

Summer is in full swing, and we’re thrilled about all the amazing activities! Memorial Day Weekend kicked off with a blast, thanks to Double Granite Band rocking the house with live music. Our Vegas Weekend brought the excitement of casino games and a thrilling poker tournament right to our camp. Then, Luau Weekend was a hit with Hawaiian shirts, hula dancing, and tropical vibes. Summer Bash Weekend was pure fun with pool volleyball, games on the beach, and a Sunset Cruise on our beautiful Lake Oconee. A huge thank you to everyone who supported our 3rd Annual Lake Oconee Humane Society Fundraising Weekend. The pet parade and fundraising activities helped us raise funds for our furry friends.

As we look ahead to July, we’ve got an incredible lineup to keep the fun going.

-On 4th of July Weekend we are going to celebrate with a Karaoke DJ, live band, and patriotic crafts and fun. Don’t forget to decorate your golf cart for our 4th of July Parade! Then, we have our famous Water Wars Weekend. Get ready for epic water battles and fun all weekend! Of course, we are also celebrating Christmas in July. Enjoy a special visit from Santa, holiday crafts, and a touch of “snow”. To end off July, we have our End of Summer Bash Weekend. Don’t miss our 3rd Annual Clubhouse Lock-In with games, movies, and nonstop fun.

We can’t wait for another month filled with excitement and memorable moments. Join us for all the fun and make this summer unforgettable!
