Hello!

I don’t know about you all, but I cannot believe that September is upon us! We welcome it with open arms because that means the cool, crisp autumn days are not far behind. Here at Sycamore, it seems to be our busiest time. So, with that being said, let’s get into what we have in store for you.  

Scheduled activities for the month include Labor Day Weekend, August 30-September 2, Pirates and Princesses of Sycamore, September 6-8^th, First Responders Weekend, September 13-15, Hillbilly Olympic Weekend, September 20-22, and rounding out the month is Oktoberfest and Racing Weekend, September 27-29. Lots of fun and games take place during the week as well. You can have a lot of relaxing times here at Sycamore Lodge but never a boring time.

Be sure and download the Campers App to alert you that an activity is getting ready to start. See an associate in the General Store or Connie in Activities If you need help with downloading the app.

We are busy planning our annual Lymphoma Society fundraiser. We are doing a scaled-down version and calling it, “Sycamore’s Spooky Hallow”. We are still in the planning stages and will update everyone with all the specifics in next month’s newsletter. It will be held on the last three Saturdays of the month and will be a lot of fun for all ages. We hope to see everyone there!

The check presentation for last year’s Haunted Forest will be presented to the Lymphoma Society on September 14^th at 7:00 pm.

Our pool is still currently open and will remain open as long as the nighttime temperatures stay warm. Once they consistently reach below 60 degrees, the water is too cold to swim and it will close for the season. If you find you forgot any pool accessories for yourself or kiddos, check out the General Store. They have most of the standard pool items you may need as well as toys that can be played in the pool.

The General Store is fully stocked and ready to help you find the perfect souvenir to take back with you. Whether that be in the form of a shirt, cup, mug, magnet, or countless other items they have on hand, you are sure to find that perfect souvenir or even gift to take back home. In addition to all of that, they are also stocked with lots of camping supplies for your RV’s, campfire needs, snacks, candies, and of course, ice cream! Stop in, browse, and say hi to Gina, Chris, and Britany.

Be sure to grab a copy of our Guidelines at check-in. Please remember the speed limit is 5mph in the resort, all pets must be leashed and cleaned up after and absolutely no aggressive animals are allowed on property. If you bring your personal golf cart, you have to register it at the General Store when you check-in. Be sure and bring your Declarations page for proof of insurance.
